Only my 2nd time at the Hollywood Bowl and love it. The show was great, but I wanted more Evanescence! The new collab is amazing and I loved the energy between Halsey and Amy. Im obsessed all over again! I've been (and currently am as I type this) going down the Evanescence rabbit hole (pun intended with Halsey'a theme) on YouTube. She's had some amazing collaborations and this another one! I'm waiting (not so patiently) for another live show! Setlist for Evanescence was great (so happy to hear Paper Flowers)!
**A Soulful Journey: Jill Scott Live in Concert – A Night to Remember**
Jill Scott’s concert was nothing short of transcendent. From the moment she stepped onto the stage, she captivated the audience with her presence—regal, grounded, and full of joy. Her voice, a lush and effortless blend of power and velvet, soared through the venue like a prayer answered. It wasn’t just a concert; it was a celebration of love, Black womanhood, storytelling, and soul.
Opening with classics like “Golden” and “The Way,” Jill invited the crowd to sing along, laugh, cry, and feel every note. Her vocals were flawless, as warm and raw as the first time we heard her debut over two decades ago. What makes her performances so powerful is not just her technical skill, but the way she connects. Between songs, she shared stories, jokes, affirmations, and wisdom, as if we were old friends gathered in her living room.
Her band—tight, funky, and in perfect harmony with her—created a soundscape that was both timeless and electric. The energy built with each song, from sultry ballads like “He Loves Me (Lyzel in E Flat)” to funkier, more up-tempo tracks like “Hate on Me.” Every beat, every lyric was delivered with intention and authenticity.
The lighting, visuals, and stage design elevated the experience without overpowering it. But the real magic was Jill herself—effortlessly graceful, unapologetically sensual, and radiating love. She made every person in the room feel seen and celebrated.
In a world that moves fast and often feels disconnected, Jill Scott’s concert was a soulful reminder of the beauty of slowing down, listening deeply, and honoring the truth in music. If you ever have the chance to see her live, do it. This wasn’t just a concert—it was church, therapy, and a block party all in one. An unforgettable experience from a true icon.
What a special night! Paula Abdul did a great job. Boyz II Men looked amazing and sounded so incredible! They are so talented! Their stage presence cannot be beat! Their voices and harmonies are so beautiful! The staging was fun and very cool! They sang their biggest hits, along with some great covers. The fireworks at the end as they sang Motown Philly was an awesome way to end the night! I love seeing them at the Hollywood Bowl!!
Headhunters were terrific. Herbie Hancock is, at 84, an amazing musician and performer. All the Headhunters, plus Marcus Miller on bass, were awesome. The first set was perfect. Unfortunately the second set with his new band was disappointing. The material was weaker, and some of the choices in the sound of the instruments were regrettable (I happen to hate vocoder). In particular, trumpeter Terrence Blanchard's constant use of an effect which made the trumpet (one my favorite instruments) sound like a 1930's car horn or something. It would have come off better if his new band had played first.
Quibbling aside, it was an epic night not to be missed.
I thoroughly enjoyed Chaka Khan’s concert.
Masego was the opening act and his music was loved by all. He got everyone
Pumped up for Chaka!!
Chaka Khan’s first half was relaxing and she
Sure had her strong vocals hitting all the notes.
Second half of the show was excellent. She sang her hits. Everyone was up screaming,
Dancing, and singing along with Chaka’s
Fabulous hits after hits.
Ms. Chaka Khan can dance and sing and put
On an excellent show!!
She went over and beyond.
I would love to see her perform again .

The Hollywood Bowl was a fantastic venue! Puscifer, Primus, and A Perfect Circle were absolutely amazing.
Puscifer was awesome, (HBD) Carina Round and Maynard were great, loved the songs fabulous, Les Claypool is such an amazing bassist, best songs were My Name is Mud and Tommy the they played. APC was polished, I loved Billy Howerdel, what a dynamic guitar player. Primus was Cat! So fun.
The crowd went wild when Justin Adam and Danny came on and played Anemia with Maynard. Loved it. (We saw Tool in January at the Toyota Sports Arena in Ontario California and that was not a dismal show, Maynard was sick, so last night Anemia made up for it). Grand Canyon (one of my Favorites) ended the night. I love this song of Hope...I hope Maynard James and his collaborative efforts continue.
Exceptionally Amazing! Brandi Carlile exudes such loving, caring & kindness. She opened the show by acknowledging the crisis in the Middle East. Asking for all 16,000 people in attendance to collectively pray for peace. Her energy was infectious and the show was iconic! Sharing the stage with Annie Lennox, Allison Russell, Wendy & Lisa and the Grande Dame, Joni Mitchell. I always enjoy the Brandi Carlile experience - her musical performances and relatability with her audience!! Thanks for another great show!! XO Nancy & Anna
The concert was really good. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of 5 stars is because I wished that Quincy would have made an appearance: even, briefly. But the show itself was top notched showcasing the fact that Quincy always looks for the best voices, has fantastic melodies that stand the test of time and set the standard for others to follow.
I also love going to see artists at the Hollywood Bowl. This is actually one of my favorite venues.
Janet's show was fulfilling on so many levels it's almost hard to explain. She sounded amazing, she looked amazing, she was a total boss. Back in the day, she was such a huge part of that soundtrack of my life. This woman just turned 57 years old (!!). Ms Jackson has her fair share of peers who've stepped back out on stage later in their career, and I've seen a few, either live or through social media. Horrible to say, but too many have embarrassed themselves (Madonna) or sort of dialed it in (Christina Aguilera). Janet somehow managed to move in all the right ways, get a little nasty, and was classy and commanding on that stage for TWO HOURS. She was everything. #musicislife
The venue was fair. Took too long to go throught the metal detectors.
Alcohol was too abundant and liquor bottles were rolling down through the seating area and row by row.
Too many seat jumpers who had no regard for other attendees and too many inebriated people in the aisle ways so there was a lot of time that thise who could not stand were blocked from all video screens and stage for significant amount of the concert.
This was my first time seeing Andrea Bocelli in concert❤
Andrea was amazing, his voice carries a pure joyful vibration, and he can carry a note beyond anyone I've ever heard. He sang beautifully with each of his guests! Zucchero solo, and duet with Andrea were amazing. I loved Andrea's personal note of Zucchini giving his career a big lift❤ He also gave four encore songs at the end. A very giving two hour+ concert🙏
Hollywood Bowl sound was perfect, was seated in the back center.
OH MY GOSH! This show was insane and basically, a teenage dream of mine come to life! The lineup included New Order - whom I equally adore and Paul Oakenfold opened. That last part was an incredible bonus as PO came along in my later years and I had never seen him perform but had always wanted to. Also, my first time at the Hollywood Bowl and we had perhaps the worst (theoretically speaking) seats in the "nosebleed section" but if you have been to this venue, you know the acoustics are amazing and there is no such thing as a bad seat. I wish we could have been closer but this was a 3-time-rescheduled show from pre-COVID and we purchased our seats after the initial offering time so we had to take what we could get. The visual effects were surreal and part of me wonders if the 'Boys weren't lipsynching because they sounded amazing even though they are clearly getting older. It was also my daughter's birthday so it was a family event for us and a memorable show indeed!
Since seeing my first Duran Duran concert on 4 February 1984 they have never been disappointed. Although, that first concert when I was 14 I could barely hear the band due to the sheer shrill of screams throughout the (then) Los Angeles Forum. It was a crazy amazing experience and I have been to many shows since. This concert on 9 September 2022 was particularly and exceptionally amazing because it RAINED (summer in Los Angeles???) and made the experience even more awesome. Thank you Duran Duran for 40 years of amazing music and adventures. Here is to 40 more!
Spectacular!!! It was a great crowd seeing the ultimate band play many favorites. But we really liked the songs -Friends of Mine, Careless Memories, Planet Earth, and Five Years. Would have been nice to have at least one song from Paper Gods, or the album before(sorry, spacing on the title--This Is Now or something), and Astronaut. But they have soooooo many songs I understand it's obviously hard to pick which one to play, except the obvious like Wild Boys, Hungry Like the Wolf, Rio, etc. What we have always like about Duran Duran is the songwriting, the words just resonate with us. We saw all 3 shows at the Bowl, and 1 in Las Vegas a week earlier. We're going to the R&R Hall of Fame induction on November 5th. So Happy!
The set, the sound, his voice, the music was really beautiful and such a gift to see and hear. Was pretty bummed though that he didn't play any songs from the Breezin album besides Masquerade, which in a way feels like his sweet spot and the music he made that brought so so much joy and uplift to so many people on this planet. The song repetoir seemed more commercial rather than heart felt and if I may say that the way the show ended abruptly felt a little cold. On the other hand, Georges energy, ease and generosity when singing and playing were a treasure to watch. Thank you 🙏
It was indeed a great show! Worth every penny! The BSB still got the grooves and their vocals are still superb! It takes me back to my teenage years 1996 when they got officially release their first album it is very surreal, I’ve waited 26years to got this opportunity and it is worth the wait! I really love the BSB they are legends! I’ll keep supporting you guys till the End! Hollywood Bowl experience is magnificent the venue is such has this energetic vibes and hype! Keep it Up! #bsbdnatour #holywoodbowl
She was great but the advertising was a bit misleading. It wasn’t a Gwen Stefani concert it was the opening night of the Hollywood bowl celebrating 100 years. The Philharmonic played for the first half and there were ballet dancers and hip-hop dancers and a violinist which were all very nice but Gwen didn’t come on until after the intermission. Then I think she only sang about four of her songs. I’ve seen her in Vegas and it was amazing and she played all her hits but this really wasn’t a Gwen Stefani concert per se but it was still nice to be at the Hollywood Bowl and my first concert since everything closed down. And the fact that Blake Shelton came on for a song was a treat! As well as the marching bands from USC and UCLA, there was a lot going on!
Show was amazing! after 4 years of finally waiting I got to see them. the Venue was not great and the only reason its 4 stars. if you're boring and want to sit while you watch a concert then go right ahead but I like to jump around and sing and it was hard. besides that it was just like any other concert. GET THERE EARLY. the pre show was o.k. not gonna go follow them anytime soon.
Every time I’ve seen De La over the years I’ve never been disappointed and this time was no exception. It was a little puzzling at first because only Pos and Mace were on stage at the beginning of the set. We quickly found out that Dave was a bit under the weather, but those two rocked the show without him. In fact they brought out a special guest, Talib Kweli to help them! That was awesome! They even did a few of his songs! Dave finally made an appearance and even though he wasn’t feeling well, the energy during the set was still high. The only negative that I can say was that the set wasn’t very long but De La Soul rocked it! Another satisfying performance.
