Paradise Rock Club

For some reason, I thought Melvins were headlining this show so I was surprised to see that they were opening for Napalm Death. This is probably the 8th or 9th show I've seen them at the Paradise over the years. Let's just say that the place was jam fucking packed for Melvins... and it thinned out a bit for Napalm Death to the point we penetrated into the GA section (impossible while Melvins were on). Napalm still had a large energetic crowd however. Melvins had an excellent set list with great newer material to open the show and finished strong with select picks from classic albums over the years. (Your Blessened to close the show was a dream come true for me). Two drummers adds so much power to their sound, and they were all having fun up there. Paradise - put them on the fucking wall please already.

Bury Tomorrow absolutely destroyed the stage. These guys went insanely hard, 10 songs 110% passion, unbelievable levels of energy. The vocalist stayed after the show to mingle with the audience yet again, proving how wholesome and amazing this band is. While She Sleeps also did an amazing job, with a badass dive into the audience from the mezzanine to close it out. The Venue was pretty tight, a relatively small space for a metal crowd, but enough space for a decent mini moshpit. The decibel levels were quite decent, so you could go without earplugs and not ruin your hearing for days to come. While the lighting was okay, the stage could definitely use some more effects. The drinks at the bar were nothing to write home about, they had a pretty limited menu. There were some audio issues during the headline act, which caused distortions and drops during parts of the headline act - so an equipment upgrade might be overdue.

This was honestly one of the best concerts I have ever been to, and I've been to a lot of them. Citizen Soldier, Sky Dxddy, Icon for Hire and Keith Wallen were amazing. Musically speaking, they were wonderful. The energy they brought to the show was like nothing I've seen, and I've been a performing musician for years. While it wasn't the same kind of bouncy energy I have been part of with other rock shows, the deep, emotional power of that performance and those musicians was incredible. I cannot speak highly enough of them. Not to mention Jake from Citizen Soldier standing outside the venue after it closed to sign things and give hugs IN THE RAIN to make sure everyone had the opportunity to do so. My sole and only complaint is with one part of the venue. The flooring there is extremely hard and uneven to stand on and led to a lot of leg and foot pain. The padding they have down is so incredibly worn out that it is no longer good for legs and feet. While I am more sensitive than most due to disabilities, it was a major problem for me. I also heard that feedback from everyone else in the crowd I spoke to, so it may be worth tending to. That said, the staff were great (including giving water out to those at the rail so they didn't need to lose their spot), and everything else about the space was fantastic!

the music was amazing. the openers, makari, and body thief were so good and literally just amazing preformers. intervals was so good and really cool to hear live and raw. hail the sun is my favorite band of all time i think, and seeing them live was a dream. they had such good stage presence and the meanings behind their lyrics cuts deep. as for the venue, it was pretty nice, it was packed as hell. the bathroom was a bit cramped but oh well. the lighting and sound was so cool and very immersive. my only complaint was that i had ADA seating but I do have to say it was not the most accessible. i dont think there were stairs to the enterance, but the clearance to walk near the bar was not enough for me and my cane, and def wouldn't be enough space for a wheel chair. i was also confused by the ADA seating because it was a pretty small, raised cubicle by stairs with 4 stools. im guessing the seating was mostly for visually impaired people but it was weird being led there with a leg issue needing to go up a few stairs. i have no doubt they would've made space if i couldn't walk up them or if i was in a chair, it just felt a little weird. the cubicle was also very small for me and my two friends with the stools in it, we had to move them in specific ways if any of us wanted to leave.

What a great kick-off show for the Quaranta Tour!! Danny was on point and tight like I haven't seen him before. Additionally, Bruiser Wolf opened up for him and put on an amazing set as well! I highly recommend any Danny fans to go to this tour. Aside from this performance, I was not a fan of the Paradise as a venue. It's set up so that the artist is basically playing into a wall. Very little viewing room. If I could, I would go see him at another one of the shows on this tour.

Since they were getting back together for this one-off benefit show, these guys had not played together for years... But you never would have known it!!! Everything flowed so smooth - and the songs sounded just as if they were lifted off the old CD tracks. Such great musicianship - and all the old songs really connected with the audience as if we were right back in the 1990's. It's so sad to know that we will likely never get to experience the O Positive experience live again... But, for this one night, at least, the nostalgia came to life. And, man, did it ever sound good!

The Acacia Strain is one of the rowdiest bands I've ever seen. They are from Chicopee, MA so this was like a hometown performance. The lead singer was fully representing a fellow Boston metal band by wearing a Fuming Mouth sweatshirt. The concert was metal and chaos from the first chord. The Paradise was non-stop stage dives after The Acacia Strain gave the fans the go-ahead. It was an incredible concert with a line-up of powerhouse bands. You had be ready for anything without a railing but it made the show unforgettable. I've seen them twice now and survived both performances. This is a band that feeds off the crowd and gives them everything.

The concert was metal and chaos from the first chord. They say everything is bigger in Texas and Creeping Death brought it with spades. The Paradise was a revolving door of stage dives with a continuous mosh pit throughout the night. It was an incredible concert with a line-up of powerhouse bands. No railing. made it a full-on crowd participation performance. You had be ready for anything and it made the show that much more exciting.

We drove by at 7:45 with the entrance line still stretching over 100 yds down Comm Ave making this was the most packed Buffalo Tom show since we first 'waited for an answer, but we waited for 25 years'. Chris walked in when we did around 8:10, and no more than 10 minutes later, they were playing. This show was raw like 30 years ago, with a full catalog of songs, all the favorites like Tree House, Tangerine and the magical I'm Allowed, Bill's guitar screaming through solos and Tom's drums steadily pacing new ones like All Be Gone and classics Velvet Roof, The Bus from 1986, also with guest star Hilken Mancini helping with backing vocals and the harmonica solo on Kitchen Door sounding like the original, and with many of Chris's quiet-start songs like Late at Night, Rachael, Twenty Points, Taillights Fade and ending with a 7 song encore including a brand new song New Girl Singing and finally the ethereal Frozen Lake. It was a show for the ages, jam-packed with songs old and new, Buffalo Tom crushing it again at the Paradise, and it looks like they're here to stay.

The Melvins went on second and put on a great show. I think they wanted to chill out and let Boris close the show. They explained why their drummer wasn't there, but they said he's determined to get behind the kit again. The replacement was fantastic and didn't miss a beat. They had a lot of fun and thanked the fans for coming out. The Paradise is small but it gives you a private performance feeling. It's a wide stage that creates a lot of front row space. I'll be watching for other bands to play there in the future.

The Paradise is a fantastic place to see a show. ZZ Ward was fabulous and sounded incredible. She played every song you wanted to hear and more. Her smile and enthusiasm was infectious. We got to hear tracks from her new album and some brand new music that will be on the next release. It was a feel-good concert that had you loving live music. The show ended with her hinting at a baby bump that had the crowd cheering for another encore.

Absolutely amazing show! Have been going to see Tessa since her first tour and the growth has been great to watch. This topped even her headline at the Roxy in LA a year or so ago. Recommend to anybody to see if tickets are available at a venue near you to go. The opener Frances Forever was also great. She's more local and I'll be hitting some more of her concerts.

Simply amazing, and very happy with the pairing of the opening act (Post Animal) as well. Temples has vibrant aura from the moment they step into the stage until the last note is delivered, true rock stars from head to toe. Having not kept up with Temples since their first album, I was shocked to learn that a lot of the songs on their set-list were from their latest album “Exotico.” Now I can’t stop listening to it.

The event is certainly not friendly to people who are 5'3 and shorter!! But The White Buffalo was in fabulous form! We saw him in Toronto this past fall and the energy here in Boston was significantly greater and he responded to it! Excellent concert and I could have cried when he played Highwaymen.....he does such an emotional and heart felt version of this song. I do wish he would play more songs of off Darkest Nights....album. I love The Robbery - one of my faves! Hope he comes back again!

The house erupted when the trio took the stage. The pulse of the 900+ crowd lurched closer to the stage and immediately felt the free-wheel breaking energy of The White Buffalo. This talented group of musicians, standing there live in the neighborhood came to earn their living. It was obvious these three musicians did not forget how to hustle. There music felt like home. Joy driven, authentically seeping through the seam. The audience came to pay homage to the musicians who wrote the soundtrack of their lives. It has been said, “you’ll know its purpose when it smiles. That moment in time when everything is right - is the smile.” Observing the crowd-it was obvious…everything was right…everyone was smiling. Myron Elkins, wow. What a talented young artist. Do yourself a favor and add him to your playlist. A rising star under his own power. Almost felt like he was invited on tour because it was a sense of duty to introduce Myron to the streets that wrote his lyrics. He represents the grind and properly warmed up the crowd. Everyone who left the Paradise walked away knowing they saw a band with a thousand stories. Gone were the darkest days. For a few hours, we all could imagine rather than remember - that was the only wish many had. Power of live music at its finest.

Venue was small and intimate, while From Ashes to New & Memphis May Fire rocked like GIANTS, not holding anything back and putting on an amazing show for the fans. The opening band, Wolves at the Gate, put on a great performance and sounding good, rocking the small stage in Boston. Fans responded positively and you could feel the welcoming energy in the crowd. But the show really kicked into gear when FATN took the stage performing “Panic”, just as they opened with during their “Panic Tour”, they are just coming off of. FATN played their set list to perfection, fans getting the same great energetic performance from FATN as they gave headlining their own Panic Tour, truly an impressive performance. They bring such a big presence to every stage, giving the crowd 100% in every performance, it’s truly remarkable to see. Being in the crowd during their performance is almost electrifying. MMF came to stage with a tough act to follow and did not disappoint. Matty Mullins (lead singer for MMF) got the crowd to open up and “bounce” and did a great job of controlling the crowd all night. You could feel the energy coming off stage from MMF, electrifying the crowd from start to finish. Danny Case (lead singer for FATN) joined Matty Mullins (lead singer for MMF) and Memphis May Fire on stage to perform “Vices” (a MMF song) and the duo were completely in sync, the crowd loving every second of it. I would love to see more collaboration between the duo and I’m sure fans everywhere would agree. Overall, it was a very intimate and energetic show, giving fans two BIG name headliners in just one small venue. So small a venue, I bumped into Danny Case walking through the parking lot before the show. The amount of energy all the bands put into this small packed show, certainly gave fans their money worth and more. I would absolutely go see this show again.

Great show, had a lot of fun! Was a little upset that KanKan didn’t show up to the show and the fact that Sid Shyne had such a short set. If they knew KanKan wasn’t going to show up they should have let Sid Shyne go on for longer instead of giving the DJ’s such long sets. I still had a lot of fun though! Lucki was great. I would definitely would go see Lucki again!

Saw them in concert last night and they were absolutely amazing. I’ve loved their music since I discovered them in 2017. They had a good opening act. They played a good variety of songs including all of their bigger hits and songs from their newest album, Phases. They sounded just as good in concert as they do in recordings. They had a great stage presence and kept the crowd hype. To Mitchell, Christian and Clinton, you did an amazing job. You guys are going to so many places. They future has so many opportunities waiting for you. I will be a fan for life.

i had an absolute ball at the concert but before it actually took place, a couple things made me upset. i purchased vip passes and wasn’t aware that we weren’t allowed to take selfies/videos. this bummed me out because i only wanted selfies. secondly, a week before the concert i received an email stating, “be there at 4:30* * please make sure to arrive on time, as late arrivals cannot be guaranteed access and refunds will not be provided”. i showed up exactly at 4:30 and waited in a line, outside, for 2 1/2 hours. i was invited to go to prom and planned on just going to the pictures. but, i had to cancel that because i was afraid i wasn’t going to be let in to meet the guys. i would’ve shown up much later if i would’ve known the actual details of how the meet and greet process would go down. not to mention, it was freezing outside and as “vips” we were expected to stand out in the cold. the opening acts and jack and jack themselves were absolutely amazing and i would most definitely see them again but not purchase vip.
