Biographie de The Dirty Mojo's
Having played for years in various outfits and at endless jam nights in and around Kilburn, North West London, a gang of vagabonds decided it was time to start their own thing. With that shared love of roots and blues, rock and soul, they had their first jam on Summer’s night in Resident Studios, Willesden. Coming together like pirates on a stolen vessel, The Dirty Mojo's were born. Only one week after the first jam, they took to the stage in a packed night at Paradise Bar by way of Kensal Rise for their first show… and quite literally ain't looked back since. Fronted by ex pro boxer turned singer/songwriter Caine Brodie, The Dirty Mojo's feature Belgian native Nick Cornu on lead guitar, Australian bassist Billy Farrington, Dr. Phil Clarke on the drums and none other then Mr. Richard Stevens on all things keys. After a load of live shows around London and Brighton, The Dirty Mojo's have shaped something truly unique, taking cues from classic blues and rock’n’roll music, with an abstract twist. They bring an atmosphere that grabs you by the gut and swings you from the ceiling with lyrics that range from the aggressive to the introspective; murder ballads, love songs, songs of lone warriors who skirt the mainstream of society. With not a demo tape in sight and nothing but reputation to show, coerced by demand of the loyal army of fans, the Mojo's grafted away all summer to come up with a self produced debut EP 'The Backyard Boogie' that was released on 30th November 2015. 2016 has been the biggest year yet, with numerous festival slots under their belts, including a chaotic set at the legendary Camden Rocks festival. Here's to bigger and better things to come! Rock'n'roll collective based in north west London. Killer originals, stomping covers, good times.
