Phillip Island troubadour Mark Howard has quickly established himself as a magnetic force in the music scene, following the release of his debut album Passing Strangers. With a sound described as “sensual, cinematic alt-rock with folky blues and a swampy groove,” Mark’s performances across Australia, NZ, and the UK have left audiences spellbound.
In 2024, he released three AMRAP top 10 singles and has shared stages with the likes of Tash Sultana, Tim Rogers, The Whitlams, and Alex Lloyd. His latest single Under Her Spell offers a shimmering taste of his upcoming album Deep Dark Blue.

Phillip Island troubadour, Mark Howard has shared his musical tales across 45 countries, earning critical acclaim in both his native Australia and across the globe. Crafting his debut album, 'Passing Strangers,' while navigating the global pandemic in his coastal hometown of Phillip Island, Victoria, Mark's music blends swampy grooves with fresh melodic twists weaving between the boundaries of folk, rock, blues, and alt-country.
With a rich background in theatre honing his craft on stage, Mark's soul-stirring songwriting continues to enchant audiences, leaving an indelible mark both locally and worldwide. His talents have been recognised with multiple accolades from prestigious festivals like the Edinburgh and Adelaide Fringe.
