About Aman Mahajan
AMAN MAHAJAN is an Indian pianist and composer recognized for his syncretic approach to music through solo and collaborative work.
A voyager through musical realms, Aman believes in improvisational music as a medium of interaction, expression and exchange.
His compositions bridge modern jazz with folk and classical traditions, creating a dialogue that transcends genres. They are rich in improvisation and rhythmic nuance, exploring emotional and sonic landscapes, and paying homage to inward journeys.
“There is an inner sense to his playing that, although it nods to jazz, Indian folk and classical, very much breathes with its own life.” —FREQ Music Magazine

His work is inspired by a search for unity and connection.
“Mahajan’s syncretic, contemporary approach does not belong to a particular style of music, yet as one listens, the music grows quite special as the pianist weaves a dense yet liberating spell over the listener.” —High Notes and Dance
